COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) President & CEO Joseph R. Nardone today shared that Air Canada announced a new daily, nonstop international flight from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) to Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL).

“Air Canada’s nonstop flight to Montreal is more than a convenient new destination; it’s a strategic gateway that directly connects our region to the world,” said Nardone. “We thank Air Canada for their commitment to providing our passengers with the opportunity for nonstop travel to a key Canadian city, unlocking a vast array of Canadian adventures or European escapes.”

This new seasonal route, launching on May 1, 2026, will be the first-ever nonstop service between Columbus and Montreal and is strategically timed to provide travelers a seamless connection to Air Canada’s extensive European network.

“The addition of new flights from Columbus to Air Canada’s Montreal hub will support additional travel options to Ohio’s state capital. With flights to both Montreal and Toronto next summer, a multitude of global destinations are conveniently connected to Columbus through our two largest hubs. We look forward to welcoming customers from both sides of the Atlantic onboard our new flights next year!” said Alexandre Lefevre, Vice President, Network Planning – North America & Scheduling at Air Canada.

YUL is a preclearance airport, which means passengers returning to the U.S. can complete the customs and immigration process before their flight, making for a faster and more efficient arrival back in Columbus.

This new service underscores the continued strong partnership between the Columbus Regional Airport Authority and Air Canada, which has operated service from CMH to Toronto for over 20 years.
