COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) and Air Canada today celebrated the takeoff of the first-ever nonstop flight between John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). This historic connection marks the first time Columbus passengers have nonstop access to Quebec’s largest city, further expanding the region’s connectivity.

The daily, seasonal service provides a critical link for both business and leisure travelers, offering convenient service to Montreal and seamless connections to Air Canada’s extensive network across Europe and beyond.

“Expanding our nonstop destinations is a direct reflection of the growth and vitality of the Columbus region, and I thank our partners at Air Canada for choosing to grow their service here,” said Daren Griffin, President & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “This service to Montreal is a strategic link to a major global gateway, connecting us to cities across Europe. By working together with our community and airline partners, we continue to build the momentum necessary to advance Columbus’s global reach.”

“The launch of our new nonstop service between Columbus and Montréal represents a renewed commitment by Air Canada to this market and a strong vote of confidence in the vitality of the Columbus economy,” said Vincent Gauthier‑Doré, Managing Director, Canada and U.S. Sales at Air Canada. “This daily Air Canada Express flight not only connects two great cities, it opens the world to Central Ohio through Montréal, with seamless access to Europe and beyond. We are proud to bring a new premium, convenient travel option to Columbus and to strengthen the ties between our communities.”

Montreal is a premier international hub, serving as a primary jumping-off point for travelers heading to London, Paris, Barcelona, and other major European cities. The addition of this route brings John Glenn International’s nonstop destinations to 55+, signaling the airport’s role as a major driver of regional economic development.
