COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) today announced that John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) will be among the first airports nationwide to participate in GateSide by TSA PreCheck, a new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) program allowing certain individuals to enter the post-security portion of the airport terminal without a ticket.

Our participation reflects CRAA’s commitment to elevating the passenger experience and providing the highest level of service to our community.”

GateSide by TSA PreCheck allows eligible, non‑traveling visitors who already have TSA PreCheck to enter the secure side of the terminal – offering the opportunity to welcome friends and family at the gate or enjoy airport concessions with a passenger before a flight. The program is free and available only to TSA PreCheck members or those with a Known Traveler Number (KTN), and requires advance application through TSA.

GateSide by TSA PreCheck will be managed by TSA. Visitors must apply online one to three days before their planned visit and present an approved reservation and valid ID at the TSA PreCheck lane. Children may accompany an eligible adult if included on the reservation.

CMH is one of 13 airports selected for the national launch of this program.
