COLUMBUS, Ohio — In preparation for the upcoming new terminal construction project, the Blue Shuttle Lot at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) will close to new parkers on December 9. A new, 2,550-car expansion will open in the Red Lot at the same time to accommodate additional cars.

“Closing the Blue Shuttle Lot marks a major step forward as we prepare the site for our new terminal,” said Joseph R. Nardone, President & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “This project represents a transformative investment in the future of CMH, and our team is energized by the momentum. We remain committed to providing our customers with a positive experience throughout this transition.”

CMH has a variety of parking options for all budgets and lifestyles. From the walking and long-term shuttle lots to valet and garage spaces, passengers can choose the lot that best fits their needs by visiting our Parking options webpage.

The final phase of parking lot changes will occur in early 2025 with the opening of a temporary cell phone lot. The new $2 billion terminal at John Glenn Columbus International Airport is expected to open in 2029, in time for the airport’s 100th anniversary. In addition to the new terminal, the project will include a 5,000-space parking garage connected by an elevated pedestrian bridge.
