New year, new flights taking off from Columbus airports

With 130+ flights a day departing from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) and Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), four new routes have been announced for 2026. Those include:

  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Sunshine, palm-lined canals, and easy access to South Florida’s beaches arrive when Frontier Airlines launches nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale beginning March 8.

  • Panama City Beach, Florida – Southwest Airlines’ weekend flights during spring break and the peak summer season make those emerald waters and white sandy beaches of Panama City Beach closer than ever before.

  • Montreal, Canada – A bustling cultural center and a gateway to Europe, Air Canada’s daily seasonal flights to Montreal launch on May 1.

  • Key West, Florida – Beach breezes and trop rock await when Allegiant Air begins its twice-weekly flights to Key West on May 21.

  • Austin, Texas – Whether you’re looking for outdoor festivals or a hill country escape, Delta Air Lines’ daily nonstop to Austin begins on June 7.
