COLUMBUS, Ohio — CMH Next, the new terminal project at John Glenn Columbus International Airport, is taking off, bringing noticeable changes to prepare for construction.

Beginning the week of January 13, passengers traveling to John Glenn International will encounter two changes along the roadway:

Traffic pattern adjustments on International Gateway:

  • Eastbound traffic reduction: Traffic heading east on International Gateway will be reduced to two lanes, shifting slightly north before widening again near the terminal.

  • Speed limit reduction: A lower speed limit will be in effect to ensure safety during this transition.

Cell Phone Lot relocation:

  • New location: The Cell Phone Lot will move to a temporary location behind the iconic John Glenn International sign on International Gateway, near the Rental Car Center.

  • Access and exit points: Vehicles can enter the lot from both the east and west directions on International Gateway but will exit heading east only.

  • Alternate waiting location: Drivers can also wait in the Green Lot across Stelzer Road. This lot now offers a one-hour grace period, allowing you to exit free of charge within an hour of entry.

Reminder: Parking options

Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and explore the airport’s expanded and convenient parking options:

  • Red Lot: 2,550 new spaces have been added to the Red Lot, accessible directly from Stelzer Road or by circling around International Gateway and following the signs.

  • Other options: The airport also offers Garage, Valet, Walking Lot, and Green Lot parking. Explore all parking options at FlyColumbus.com

We thank our passengers for their patience and cooperation as we work to enhance the airport experience.
