New destinations announced at John Glenn International Airport.

Let the changing leaves inspire a change of scenery. As we head into colder months, think about planning your winter getaway with these exciting new routes out of Columbus. Fly Southwest nonstop to Austin, Texas this holiday season during peak travel times (Nov. 23 – 24, 28 – 29; Dec. 23, 26 – 30; and Jan. 2 – 3), and look forward to spring travel with daily flights beginning March 10.

Frontier is launching nonstop service to Cancun, Mexico beginning Jan. 21. Frontier’s twice weekly flights are the latest offerings in addition to service with Southwest, American (returning Dec. 18) and Vacation Express (returning March 6).

Heading south this winter? There are multiple options as airlines add flights to the most popular destinations in Florida, including Frontier’s new flights to Tampa (beginning Dec. 17), and United’s return of seasonal, Saturday-only service to Fort Myers (beginning Dec. 18).

With American and Delta’s return to JFK starting this month, service to all three New York area airports served pre-pandemic is back. Visit New York via JFK, LaGuardia or Newark airports.

Beginning June 16, Alaska Airlines will be operating twice daily nonstop flights to Seattle, giving passengers the option to choose morning or evening flights.

Southwest service to Washington D.C.’s National airport (DCA) returns Nov. 7. With service offered by both Southwest and American, flights to the nation’s capital are available up to six times daily this winter.
