Passenger traffic soars to new heights in 2024 at Columbus airports

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Regional Airport Authority President & CEO Joseph R. Nardone today announced that 2024 was a record-breaking year for passenger travel at Columbus airports.

“With the new CMH terminal groundbreaking in December, record passengers numbers, and more nonstop destinations than ever, momentum is building at our airports,” said Nardone. “I am proud of the CRAA team for delivering exceptional service while advancing the construction of our new terminal.”

Passenger traffic at John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Rickenbacker International Airport reached record highs in 10 of the past 12 months, resulting in a total of more than 9.2 million passengers served in 2024 – a 6.7% increase compared to 2023.

With 50+ nonstop destinations, airlines continue to expand service at Columbus airports, including a new American Airlines flight to Los Angeles International Airport that will take off in March.
